We are Kate and Kels, best friends turned business partners. We have had the pleasure of working side by side for a decade in motherhood, friendship, and design!

We are passionate about homes that are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and that have a good dose of real life to them. Living out of a picture-perfect-magazine all the time is just not realistic, and the majority of clients feels the same. We are big proponents of having a space done on a real life budget. You can have a well designed home, and not have to sell your arm & leg. Maybe just your arm…

We love to see a room’s potential, and bring it to life. We pride ourselves in our vision for space and our natural ability to incorporate functionality that flows for every design.

We have a wide network of contractors, architects, and curators to help bring any project to life! Residential design is how we got our start, but commercial work has integrated naturally into our scope over the years.

We have some weird quirks though. Like how the term is sofa—not couch. And we are pretty adamant that black and white are not colors. Other than that, we are pretty levelheaded, and ready to listen to your desire for how you want your home or business to feel. Even if it is just reassuring you that your choices are well put together and thought out. Sometimes we just need that reassurance and nudge to make the choices we are afraid to make in our own spaces.

We think we all really want a warm, inviting, well designed space. A space to gather and feel at home whether that be your dwelling space or where you do business.

We also understand how overwhelming putting a space together can feel. The feeling of not knowing where to start, or stop for that matter. We get that sometimes proportion is just plain hard to get right. Or the feeling of something just being off, but you can’t quite put your finger on it.

We have been there. And we want you to have confidence in your own space! Whether you rent or own your own home.

For as long as we can remember we have each been playing around with room layouts, color, patterns, design themes, and decor. Our parents both graciously (and separately, god knew we would be too much as sisters) let us work out all those weird feelings of fumbling through design and home decor from a young age. (So many room makeovers when we should have been doing homework).

There is so much more we could ramble on about with design. The main takeaway we hope you have is: this is real life, and real design to fit it. Between the two of us and our team of LOCAL resources we are confident that we can take great care of you and bring your project to life!
